the bigger the better. If my monitor would allow it I would use 1600x1200 or evern 2047x1536 (that is heavy monitor unless its LCD 21" min). But alas I am forced to use 1280x1024x32@60Hz (my monitor won't allow any higher

Ehm, ive tried it, and 2048x1536 @ 85Hz isnt a good idea in windows. Getting sore eyes very quickly, becasue you have to get so close to see things. Believe me, i tried it (22" CRT, and not that heavy:P (40kgs?))
In gaming its nice.

you know you can increase the font size. That makes it way eaiser to see.

A 21" LCD is about 12-20 lighter than a 21"CRD. I said the non LCD was heavy (which is what you have a CRT). 21" of glass is not light, even flat glass.

My desktop:

Games and BF Extraction are short cuts to folder of shortcuts for said apps. Everything else is self explaintory.
