ok... here's how you change the defensive material numbers on something (like the patriot). this changes it to material 52 as suggested above. you need 3dsmax or something like it to do this.
first, extract the file called PatriotBase.sm located in DC-Final's standardMesh.rfa, in the directroy \standardMesh\DesertCombat\Patriot\PatriotBase.sm.
Now, open up 3dsmax, and select the menu item "BattleField Tools --> Model Impot/Export".
In the next window, with the "3D Models" tab select, select "Import". Click only "Collision" on the options on the right:
Next, click the "IMPORT..." button on the bottom right. Browse to where you saved the PAtriotBase.sm file and select "Open". Then close the Import window.
Now you'll see the collision mesh of the Patriot base. On the right side of the screen, there's a button/tab for Modify (see pic below), click it.
then in the "Perspective" box with the 3d model of the patriot base in it, left click the model.
Now, in the upper right, you'll see a field that says "COL01_patriotbase", and under that, a thing that says "Editable Mesh" with a small "+" by it. click the plus to expand this, and then choose "Polygon"
Now, back in the Perspective window, drag a box (by left clicking and holding) around the entire base so that it changes color. This should make it change color.
Notice on the right, there is a tab that says "Surface Properties" with a little "+" by it. expand that and you'll see two material number fields
Notice it says 45. Change the field that says "Set ID:" to read 52 and hit Enter.
Now select the "Battlefield Tools --> Model Import/Export" menu item.
Click the "Use Object Names For Export" option, and then click the "EXPORT" button at the bottom right. Save the file as PatriotBase.sm (overwriting your old one).
NOW. Create a patch of your standardMesh.rfa file (calling it standardMesh_001.rfa for example) and import this new standard mesh file into it (keep the same directory as before). Up this to your server and now your patriot base has the armor of a Bradley!
