Hey guys im using bfrm v2.01 and I have forgotten how to ttake screenies of players to see if ther hacking I mright click ther name and hit take screenshot but then I gett he old OH Damn of death I tried researching but I couldent dig up much but im pretty sure its been talked about before and also thers a guy who comes to my server I ban hit permanently but he comes back in hes ofcourse hacking but does anyone know how to get rid of him as well thanks

He might have multiple CD keys. I've had the same problem. You ban someone and they keep coming back over and over. He also might have a way to hack it so he isn't recognized by the server. When it happened to me he wouldn't even show up on the player list or banlist, I could only get him from ingame.

Is PB enabled?
Did you edit the ss config file at all?

Go to your ftp, and PB folder. I prefer these settings:
pb_sv_SsWidth 640 //[Requested pixel width of remote screenshots]
pb_sv_SsHeight 480 //[Requested pixel height of remote screenshots]
pb_sv_SsXpct 80 //[Percentage across screen for remote screenshots]
pb_sv_SsYpct 15 //[Percentage down screen for remote screenshots]
pb_sv_SsSrate 2 //[Sample Rate for remote screenshots]

Stop/Start the server for changes to take effect, or restart pb with pb_sv_restart in the rcon tool.

Oh, and you can take PB screenshots with in-game commands as well. You can add this line to your PlayerMenu in /serversettings:

// Take a PB Screenshot
Console Commands>"pb_sv_getss %pbid"|cmd,[ss]

This will take a PB screenshot in-game by typing:

!ss [playername]
or
!ss [playernumber]

You can check PB screenshots by going to your PB folder via FTP.



As for banning this dude...sounds like a lamer. Always, always ALWAYS ban by IP!! Some of my admins who aren't as well-versed in BFRM were having trouble keeping someone banned on our server. Finally this guy comes on when I'M playing. He had names like "infinitekeyswProxySvr"...hinting that he would use a proxy server to play if we banned his IP. Usually this is just shit-talking, as they have no idea what they're really doing. You can browse the internet with a proxy server AT BEST...and finding one thats good is near impossible. Play an online game with one? Please. I IP banned him, and he never came back. No0b.

At any rate..next time he's online......open BFRM, right click his name, and choose "copy player to clipboard". Then go to notepad and paste. You now have his name, IP address, and keyhash. Ban him in BFRM. MANUALLY add his IP address by typing it in. Voila, no more noob!

Oh, and you can also take screenshots by right clicking a players name, and choose 'take screenshot'....

My former clan coleader (toxicity on this forum) has a working proxy that he uses on BFV when enemy clans ban him.

If he has a dynamic IP, he could simply turn of his DSL modem or other connnection device for a while and reconnect with a new IP...(and new cd key as he is making new ones)
