I thought I'd let you people know that adding the pnkbstrB.exe in system32 to the startup folder doesn't matter, I think the one in the game itself is failing, especially since my 1942 one works fine.

gah dunno nowadays when i "install" bf42 to a new built computer, i just copy the whole game folder to the new computer, then i put in the cdkey with that reg tool thats in the game, and thats all. works perfect every time.

Well I've reinstalled the PB several times and the .exe just won't work. My 1942 is fine, which is strange but the BFV one is hopeless.

Nothing is hopeless! And save that money that you used on the Gameserver and go buy the parts/Google how to build a computer and study that until you have enough to build it. All you need is a basic knownledge.
