Battlefield Modding Tutorials BFMODS

Alrighty, wise guys.

1st, I don't have enough disk space to copy the entire '42 folder, but I did have enough to copy the primary ingredients, save for the Mods folder.
I instead created a Mods folder, copying only the '42, Xpack 1 & 2 and DC mods.
Seems to be no problem.

2nd, I setup and ran a dedicated server (local) and it also had no problem.

Here is the problem...the server isn't showing up in my local games.
What gives?

Uhh...Hmm, I'm confused. The biggest part of 1942 you don't have enough space to copy..but you copied the mods folder (the biggest part).

Copy your WHOLE 1942 directory (maybe just 1942 in the mods folder along with dc, nothing else), and paste it somewhere. Run dedicated server from the copied 1942 directory. Fire up your regular 1942 and go to local game, hit refresh, and join.

Do you run it at the correct IP? That's your local IP I mean.

Okay, with a little help from my bro, I figured out what I was doing wrong.
Now I can ssm test directly, woo!

Well, neither the fireing force nor the projectile adjustment do anything for the lob, so I just upped the ante by equipping the '42 tanks with M-109 projectiles.
Hopefully players will be satisfied that, although the lob is terrible, the old tanks can shred as well as the new ones, provided you're any good at zeroing in on a target.
