What is the mass of a kit? I bet you can add mobile physics and have it fall instantly because of a divide by zero error, or something related to having zero mass. Except this exception is caught, and therefore doesn't cause a crash. Interesting.

Dude, I'm glad i 'watched this post' cause i got an e-mail when you replied and i haven't been on here in ages. I haven't tried this yet but i think it would do what i was looking for. Thanks even though its a year and a half late, lol. What i ended up doing to solve my problems was create a half circle bubble around the kit so you couldn't get close enough to it to pick it up. but when it first was spawned i spawned it upside down so the bubble wasn`t in your way to pick it up. this was only possible because it wasn`t ss.

Ahh. Good to see someone return to a old thread. Doesn't happen often with the new users. Anyway, yes my solution should defenetly work better then a death bubble. Especially if your doing this client side. (if your doing it client side, I recommend you go ahead and add mass to the kits as well just to avoid any unforseen network issues, though in the short test I did, there wasn't any network problems :) )

Very nice, I'll have to try this out just to see if it works on kits.

I was modding for a clan a long time ago, and one idea I had (but never got to test) would be to addTemplate a crate to the kit that you see on the ground, so when its dropped, you can't get close to it. :razz: I like your idea a lot better tho TB lol

I would imagine the invisible crates would present a problem for other soldiers and vehicles if a lot of players died on a runway or other narrow area. Die at a bunker door and you could effectively lock someone in/out for about 40 seconds!

EDIT: Oh and Dreadlock, you spelled the topic title wrong. (disapear= Disappear).

If my code turns out to work well in all network situations, I may post this code as a new thread in the Tutorial section if its ok with the mods/admins.

EDIT: Did a double test to be sure I tested it as a true Server Side mod. Yep it seems to work great! No extra lag or disconnects/crashes. Still pondering why it works if mobile physics can't be added/changed serverside....
