No, that's because the server wants you to treat it as a sniper rifle, and your client code is treating it not like one. Thus the zoom glitches. The same thing happens if you try to make a weapon zoom more server-side, the client doesn't respond well to it and glitches on the zoom-in.

I'll admit that there are things you can do client side which could be considered hacks, which I won't mention, and yes I've tried them, but I make Client Side mods for asthetic reasons, not to give anyone an upper-hand.

I mean currently I'm re-animating every weapon in FH...not because it'll make me a better shot, but because it looks nice, and anyone who exploits the wonderful feature of a client side mod to make cheats, should really not be modding.

Perhaps the coolest one I did was when I replaced the No4 with the Mosin Nagant from FH, I had made it for berlin, and I enjoyed running around with the mosin as opposed to the No4.

Of course, this is specifically why if your server is running BF1942 vanilla you need to be running PURE mode to prevent suck client-side hacks.

Explain, how, can we run a PURE modded server :lol: . I use Archi's patch, with a few of my own NON-HACK altercations but I only play on my own server so no big deal anyway.

Pure means that the clients can not have changed files. You can server-side mod all you want and still run PURE mode. I dislike strongly playing on non-pure servers. Actually, I never play on non-pure servers. Only when playing a mod like DC, DC_Final, etc do I play on non-pure servers. I prefer pure R2R and SW servers too.

Well, my server has to be unpure because we have a public patch. It just adds some of the animations for mods we have that aren't entirely SSM. Everyone can use them, but to fully see them you need a patch. We also have some CSM maps that require the patch.
