Japan was given a deadline to send the unconditional surrender. The B-29's were flying towards Japan hours before it expired. When it passed, we dropped the bombs. Theres the whole story about the emporer being captured and his palace raided, and if thats true, then its probably the reason. So in reality, you can't blame us for what happened, blame the idiots that held the Japanese emporer hostage, refusing to let him send the surrender.
As far as religion goes. People like you Plague, some of you make me laugh. You can be religious but when you believe head strong in a belief with so much heart, you are what sparks wars. After almost dying on the operating table, I've become a happier person, without the help of god. Infact my life was more miserable before when I did go crazy like you over the religion. But after my surgery, I changed, now im much more confident, and happy, and my voice is louder, im not afraid of my decisions, and thats all that had to happen for me to be happy. I didn't have to spend weeks in a church, praying to someone who I have no proof was ever there in the first place. I grew up a Protestant Christian, and believing in something is good, but not when it forces you to insult other peoples beliefs. Its Christians like you, or some heretic muslim that spark wars. Some crazy Catholic who thinks he is a messenger from god, or a Hindu who believes hes the true budda.
To be happy in life, I don't need god anymore, I've found it for myself. And as far as where I go when I die, how the hell can you be sure there even is a place after death? I can't, scientists can't, not even religious folks like you can't.
You can believe in god, but when you force it on someone else, that is wrong my friend.
