Backup files are correct?
Check saved date on them with someone.
Does it match?
Check saved date on all files and see where it's not the same as org.

If you can play all maps except hue, I guess problem are in hue files.

I haven't tried using backup files of objects.rfa or game.rfa... but I suppose there could be something in one of those that is associated with just the Hue map? I'll try it out when I get home tonight... unless Losnar reads this thread before then and tries it for me *hint hint!*

I've had the problem where the game will completely not start, or it will just close in the middle of loading a map. I just reinstalled the game, but maybe you could just replace the whole Archives folder under Battlefield Vietnam\Mods\bfvietnam\

Hope it works out for you. I always hate reinstalling Vietnam and 1942.

PROBLEM SOLVED!
It was surprisingly simple.. yet still doesn't really make sense. I simply removed ALL of the extra maps I had in my Levels directory. I think it actually had something to do with the "Dusk_of_Hue.rfa" file that was in the directory. Despite the fact that it's named something different it somehow must have still been associated with Hue.rfa??? That's the only thing I can think of. Regardless I am now once again able to play Hue, all is well!

hey guys, got a problem in this area... my brother, and i have heard of someone else also, is having a data differs etc. error... neither of them do any modding at all... my brother went so far as to format his hdd and reinstall a fresh copy of BFV... still getting the DDFS error... suggestions? they mainly try joining my server, but from what i can tell my server isn't the issue... others can join np....

yup.. and yup.. uses the same cd i use, only his numbers, his cd got a nasty scratch on it... we have done it this way for a couple years now... has always worked...
