A pal of mine has made a pretty good attempt at a sandbox mod for bf42... creating weird and wonderful structures from a range of spawners..

I wanted to put it out there to you guys to see if you had ideas for a weapon that removes stuff! I guess something with very high damage.. but maybe something that was able to destroy many objects or even just certain objects. only 'ladders' or 'boxes' that have been spawned for example.

I guess just some way of removing things with a bit more imagination and creativity than a gun.

But.. also a simple idea of code for a weapon that removes just individual things too.. even it you are a long way from the object..

Sandbox mod wouldnt be hard, just take all the objects in Bf1942, turn them into vehicles most without seats or entry points, make them all destructable, and then make a really powerful bazooka with no splash damage to destroy whatever you want.

The objects in the game: boxes, barrels, ladders, building, sandbags, fences, rocks, etc...are permanent.
They are only visual images with collision.

Guns cannot damage these objects using SSM.

Your request is not possible in this game... go buy crysis or brotherhood. :(

You can easily make destructible objects in a CSM. Just give it some armor, material, collision/response/mobile physics. PCOs FTW :razz:

umm..

Ok..

The mod has already been made.. I thought I said that at the start.

It is possible if the objects are turned into spawners.. I know that already... its been done.. ...am I taking crazy pills here?

This is not ssm.. for the record..

Rather than use a huge gun that blows everything and anything up I was wondering if anyone had more of a unique and clever idea for structuring the object spawns and the 'destroying gun' to make it a bit more clever... a way of only removing certain objects.. or a group of objects..
