Unpack materialmap.raw using WinRFA.exe from your map of choise.
Open it in photoshop/psp or some other fairly good image editor that supports raw format..
When you first open materialmap.raw it looks black.
Do an auto contrast and you will see the differant colors more clearly, we call this first image.
This one is only used to get coords and do a marking on.
Open a new materialmap.raw and do no auto contrast on that one, this one we call second image..
This is the one we will work with.
To know where your going to paint, this could help.
Use lasso tool(no feather) to mark an area on first image, save marking and copy it to second image.
Grab a color from a known coord there you know it's no out of bounce.
Use paint bucket tool to fill marked area on second image.
Save second image and pack it back inte your _00X.con file with WinRFA.exe.
This will work without BC.
PS. I haven't checked this yet, but I think picture could be mirrored and upside down. As pathmaps are this way.
PPS. I think we all can agree that WinRFA.exe can be used on any computer without problems like CTD and so on.
