Here is what i did when i got bored last night ... this is a clientside modification for the vehicle lada, the ugly rusty little car found in some dc_final maps. I modified the model , leaving the colission meshes intact, so this will work in multiplayer games. also the original texture file was used, so it will still fit on the lada. objects.con was modified to lower the seat positions and to alter soundeffects. the dukes of coastal hammer lol |

i have now added the theme tune instead of the lada radio, and the dixie horn for the vehicle, also spots wider tires , smaller steering wheel and the union jack on license plates and roof. funny thing is every lada looks like General Lee now, on every DC_Final Multiplayer Game u go too ... the kit to do it is here the files inside the folder archives have to be copied into the corresponding files from dc_final archives folder. that means: (I strongly recommend win.rfa to do this, every other prg i know screws up repacking ... and this surgery here is at the heart ...) unpack dc_final's standardmesh, texture, sound and objects rfa to desktop then copy the folder "objects" from the kit into the unpacked "objects" folder from the game and so on ... repack and have fun. i would have made a patch but for some reason dc_final does not read objects_001 or standardmesh_001 file ... and this belongs into vehicles modded while u were sleeping i changed the engine sound, it idles like a true v8 now, cruise and low rpm are in the works ... The General goes DCF, its just GOOD, it fits on the Lada collision like a condom, and it drives like a champ, for some reason ... |

Thats mint dude...I can provide ya with some killer V-8 sounds that we used in my custom sand buggy...the "start","idle" and "acceleration" sounds are from nascar Season and have been modded script wise to perform very nicely in our buggy...I'm sure they would sound really good in your General. I'm getting together a video so you can see our buggy...It replaces the Technical Pickup and is a client side mod which doesnt affect online play. |
