The BF242 UAV is launched from a UAV Trailer vehicle. Or commander vehicle as the mod calls it. It has no auto pilot or anything and is no different in how it works then that of the SA-3 guided missile or the Wesserfall.

As for the hind cockpit issues...BFV has some known issues with the lod system not working right for converted stuff from BF42. I can't help you with that since I do not know much about coding in BFV. Sorry.
