Firefox needs 75MB? Interesting. I always thought Firefox was way slimmer than Opera in its "needs", as Opera has much more stuff built in (torrent, mail, feeds, widgets: all-in-one) and opera only needs 50-60MB, depending on number of tabs open, whereis 60MB with ~10 Tabs.
I also use google as standard search engine, it simply is the best. But I'm no fan of protocoling my searches

I also use social networks (especially on university now it's very helpful to get in touch with the guys studying the same stuff you do). But pretty much only for establishing communication, then I switch to IMs via Trillian (ICQ/MSN/AIM in one). The only info I give are my name, the stuff I do at the university and that's it.
