Gah! I bought a widescreen samsung 20" today since I've been borrowing my bro's 19" and he's moving. Normal work I do on the PC is great...but BF is of course stretched out a bit. I've tried messing with some videodefault.con and video.con settings, but its still stretched, to the point where it almost makes me sick to my stomach.
My bro has a 42" plasma for his monitor (lawl), and when he runs BF1942 its basically surrounded by black bars, and kept with a normal aspect ratio. Is there any way to force these settings?? I would be perfectly happy with black bars, so long as everything wasn't stretched.

), but the way BF42 applies resolutions you get a VERT- instead of a HOR+. That means instead of seeing more to the left and right (thus, a higher FOV), you see less up and down than 4:3 players...but you see everything bigger/zoomed in...
