I am having trouble. My server has a public patch, and right now I distribute it with a .zip file containing the .rfa's. However, I believe things would become easier if I could have an installer install the patchfiles, instead of having to extract them. ( I know people who can't find their levels folder ). I have googled free installer, and all the ones I've tried require scripting and stuff and I honestly haven't got a clue what to do with them. Can I have some help here? |

I hate installers. I would 100% prefer just the rfa files be distributed in a zip file. Installers leave clutter, and uninstall shortcuts in the add/remove program files, etc, etc. Offer both, at least, if you have to offer the EXE installer. |

fox, WHY is right, if the people on your server, (which i have been on and enjoyed), like your server enough, just teach them how to add the rfa's in the right spot. for most new mods we use FTP, but for smaller stuff, i zip 'em and they place 'em.... |
