I was wondering if anyone here (or anyone that you know!) would have the use for a 1942/BFV server in dallas, texas? The only kicker: this server is going down November 19, 2008 (2 months from now). For that reason, I would offer BFV/BF1942 servers for $0.85 a slot. The regular price is $1.50. The best you will see anywhere is $0.99, but thats for a server that must be passworded at all times. This would be public. Why am I doing this? I'm helping a friend with his web-hosting business, and we thought we'd try game hosting. The problem is..its a lot easier to get and keep web clients than it is game server clients! The admin for this (on our end) is kind of clumsy, so we'd go with a better system if we do this again. I just paid the bill for this server, and will have it till November 19th, 2008...so anything I can get out of it (yes even $10 a pop) helps. Now, I'm not off to rip anyone here off...if I was, I sure as hell would be selling servers for more money. To prove that, anyone who is *seriously* interested in one would have 3 days to test out the server before paying. I accept paypal only. There would also be a 10 slot minimum per server. There's nothing running on this machine...and I mean nothing! You will be playing on a lag free server. The specs of the machine: Intel Core2Duo E6600 - 2.4GHz, 1024MB ram, 160GB HD. Jerk. lol If you *were* serious Los, and didn't read my whole post...I was thinking about renting a ded. box in the future, from fpsgs. They host our current wake servers (on a ded. machine), and they've been great so far. If I do that, I'd be offering game $0.50 cheaper than anywhere else...so $1/slot for most games. |

I got a special from gameservers that aparently will last forever for 1942 1$/slot, but you could only get it if you wanted the server in NY/NJ. |

ahh, yeah that makes sense. NY/NJ is good for the east coast/midwest and canada, but crap for the westcoast. Texas is right smack dab in the middle  Price drop: $0.75 a slot!! Open to offers as well. I just want this box to be used. |

True. It was good for me tho, since one, if it was more than that I probly couldn't afford it, and two, almost all of my clan and me live on east coast or at least within 600 miles. Only people from California complain of mild lag but thats also probly cause I've modded it to hell. Almost every worthwhile mod on this site (which is most of them) has ended up on my server at some point. |
