Ide like to pick up on this thread viewtopic.php?f=3&t=3805 I am trying to run my bf1942 server on a wireless network and it wont show up on the server list as you can see the the other thread i dident think it was possible but apparently it is and i couldent find any answers to my problem in that thread so heres the problem i start server wont show up i change ip manually to the default gateway (whatever that is) it wont show up so im out of ideas |

i cant see my server in the serverlist when i have it "in-side" my router, it does work however as players can see it in theirs and connect. only way i found to get around this is to plug the server computer directly to the broadband connector so it gets the "outside" IP. i then have to let that same computer act as a router to the rest of my computers. this would be ok if it hadent affected my ping in a sad way ![]() |

Who who who who who wha? i got the part were you said dont putt the ethernet cable in the router but i dont get the part about the dsl connector is that your modem?? or is that the little black box that connects the modem to the router |

modem connected directly to server computer, then configure the server computer to act as a router, then connect it to a switch for the rest your computers. you propably need 2 networks card to get this going, or you can try plug in a wirelessnetwork usb-card in the server to distribute internet connection and skip the switch. |

well that was exaclty what i did last night dident work but i guess its solved now cuz i just got one of my clam members to run the server on his second computer anyway thanks for the help |
