Memorial Day Observed by United States Type Federal (and most U.S. states) Significance Honors men and women who have died in military service Date Last Monday in May 2008 date May 26 2009 date May 25 Observances visiting cemeteries It's also a holiday on New Foundland and Labrador. But there it's observed on the closest Monday of July 1. Source , for you who are not american and don't know what it is. |
