I run 6 BF (and BFV) servers across two machines. One machine has two larger servers (both DesertCombat) and a small little server, the other machine 3 'regular sized' DC servers (32 slots or thereabouts). I only have details for the dual server machine of hand. Total of 80 slots for the two main DC servers, and when both are full this pulls about 500Kb/sec max I guess. Each game server (40 slots) pulls in the region of 200-250Kb/sec. Example: ![]() I also run 2 ET servers (90% always full) - these draw a bit less being 16 slot only - in the region of 60Kb/sec each. All these figures are UPLOAD btw, and in kilobytes, not kilobits. My connection speed is dual 1gb/sec into each machine. Edited for spelling |

I do not recommend running a BF1942 server from your home computer. Home internet connections are no good really. Get a dedicated server (or rent a gameserver from a gameserver provider) and get a very good connection going into it. There are plenty of server co-location facilities that allow you to rent servers too. |
