i just have vanilla bf therefore i can't tell ya but i can tell you what to do if you want to add radar to a vehicle with more than one position... step by step 1. decide to what vehicle you want to add the radar and find it's objectname (usually that's easy... a willy is also the PCO willy, a bf109 is a bf109, a sherman a sherman etc...) if you're not sure what the vehicle you want to add the radar too you might use the rfaexplorer to go through the objects.rfa (especially the Vehicles directory) to find it... the name we need is set here: ObjectTemplate.create PlayerControlObject NameGoesHere in the willy example we go browse bf1942's objects.rfa -> Vehicles -> Land -> Willy -> Objects.con rem *** Willy *** ObjectTemplate.create PlayerControlObject Willy we now know for sure the jeep is called a "Willy" as an alternative to using the rfa explorer to find out objectnames you could use battlecraft, click add template and browse through the objects and look at the pictures... that helps if you have no idea about the actual name 2. adding a sonar to our vehicle that's a really easy deal... go to your objectspawntemplates.con and add those lines: ObjectTemplate.Active NameGoesHere ObjectTemplate.AddTemplate DestroyerSonar every vehicle only needs one of the Sonartemplates, no matter how many positions it has 3. making the radarthingee to show up on the driver's minimap again that's reallly easy... just add this line below the .AddTemplate DestroyerSonar: ObjectTemplate.sonarPos 1 notice what .sonarPos is actually doing: .sonarPos is used as a property of a position in a vehicle we're adding this to the code of the PlayerControlObject Willy what means this refers to the driver's position, not to ANY other position in the vehicle if we want to add radar to another position (usually passenger positions) we will have to find the NAME of the passenger's playercontrolobject that enables him to sit in the seat together with the driver... 4. finding the objectname of a passenger position first: vehiclepositions are always (at least as far as i know) defined as playercontrolobjects that makes the search quite easy... you can forget about all the parts of code in the Willy's Objects.con that don't begin with ObjectTemplate.create PlayerControlObject so go through the .con file again and pick out the lines matching your new knowledge: ObjectTemplate.create PlayerControlObject Willy ObjectTemplate.create PlayerControlObject WillyPassengerPCO we already know that "Willy" is the jeep itself so this can't be a passenger position so "WillyPassengerPCO" is the name we're looking for 5. making the radarthingee to show up on the passenger's minimap that's easy again, add to your ObjectSpawnTemplate.con ObjectTemplate.Active WillyPassengerPCO ObjectTemplate.sonarPos 1 this adds the sonarPos property to the passenger position 6. enjoy your new lovely green radar i hope this helps to find out the names you need to add the radar to the humvee |
