Ok, what I want to do: 1) move hellfires to alternate fire on the gunner 2) attach stingers to the pilot 3) remove hellfires from pilot and maybe make the hellfires on the gunner guideable. i have tried to just move the hellfires to the gunner, but anything i try, i CTD.. any help is appreciated, and by the way, I have searched up and down this website and the forums for something to help me, and i have found some stuff, but nothing like this |

I can't help you much because I'm a noob modder (for BF), but I'm not sure this is the right forum for this topic. Are you trying to do this as a server-side mod? I'm not sure if it can be done server-side, hopefully one of the experts here will have the answers. 8) By the way, I love the idea! If guideable Hellfires aren't possible, why not give the FFARs to the gunner and leave the pilot with Stingers and Hellfires, or give the Stingers to the gunner? I suspect the guideable Hellfires would be detrimental to the gunner, as he could no longer fire the chaingun while guiding a missle. |

i think about the only thing in that list that could probably be done is to turn the hellfires into stingers. i've never had luck adding weapons to PCOs.. because they have networkableinfo set on them, when you try to addtemplate them to something, they usually cause client CTDs. if you try to remove the networkableinfo from them, then the server crashes. but.. you can ObjectTemplate.Active the hellfire firearm, and change the projectile to the stinger. the visual effect wont chang (so it'll still look like hellfires) but you will truly be firing stingers missiles. |
