if this is DC-F, make sure you don't have any stray _001 files in yer client's level directory. if this is cherry BF, you should only have a _000.rfa and a _003.rfa for el al.
if you edit your map files directly, it may be possible that yer el al file is currupt on the client. remember you can't use the server version of el al (since it could be stripped) so the best thing to do is to reinstall BF (or DC-F if your playing with DC-F)... anyways, it shouldn't be possible for the server to screw up a client's map rfa.
also, one thing to note is that even if you think you've put everything right, there may still be something wrong. i've done this many a-times... made a change to a map.. it didn't work... remmed out my changes.. STILL didn't work. that's when i just start from scratch again (and also why i now only make small changes at a time.. verify it works.. then make more changes).
