After the released of my Anti-Base-Camp map Pack (see post in How-Too's thread), the only negative comments I got was regarding the necessity to destroy vehicles driven by campers.

Indeed the "death bubble principle" works against soldiers while they are "on foot", but as soon as they climb in a vehicle, we've had to apply the "autodestruction" to the vehicle to prevent "motorised" camping.
(All with the problem of burning shells aso aso ...)
The defending team can therefore see campers penetrating in their base entering a vehicle eventually destroyed, but this deprives them from this vehicule for the 80sec of respawn time :?

One great improvement would be if the soldier live-decrease would continue while IN the vehicle.
Trust this is possible since it is happening while driving or flying out of bounds :?

Any idea ?

I personally have spent countless hours on this problem and have not yet come up with a solution. The problem is worse on my mods because I like to rapid respawn vehicles and planes so the wrecks stay around forever. I have tried many different heath drop values from -1 to -100, also with decimal values (ie: 9.332, 7.443). Nothing seems to work and you will get a burning wreck whenever someone does not bail in time. Using -1 for a health drop value will help a bit because it gives the camper time to bail, in which case the vehicle will be destroyed properly. The drawback to using -1 is that the campers can go around and drain off 99% of all your team's vehicles health (unless of course you set the "workOnSoldiers" value to "1")

So far the best solution that I can come up with is to leave the vehicle health drop at -1 but set the solidier health drop to like -100. This gives the camper time to bail from the vehicle and when he does... it's instant death. :twisted:

Indeed facing the same problems,


Appart from making nice shot of Berlin see above link, was quite annoying ... and not practicle on map like Omaha where I destroy camping tanks on the beach.
(The shell would block the access ramp :cry: )

I generally use -1 or -2 for vehicles driving IN the base to get proper destruction.

For stolen v?hicules (by parachuting campers) I boost the speed to - 45 to get instant destruction so the shell stays on the spot and is removed by the respawning vehicles.

A good alternative was to desarm the vehicle (negative supply of ammo) but the counter would not stop a zero ... run negative -25000 and ultimatly create a connection problem :cry:

Ive tried to work with the other parameters of the supply instruction (to limit the resupply value) , but in vain :cry:
