AI Coding is pretty straight forward. First heres an explanation of each code: Weapons.con - Talks about how the bot uses the weapon, and what he uses it against WeaponTemplate.Burst - Tells the AI to fire this fully automatic WeaponTemplate.Create - Creates a new template WeaponTemplate.deviation - How much does the bot miss? WeaponTemplate.exitVelocity - This will help the bot decide how far away to shoot you, enter weapons velocity. WeaponTemplate.healing - If the object heals players, or vehicles WeaponTemplate.Indirect - Good for Artillery, and grenades, bots dont have to see a player to shoot him WeaponTemplate.maxRange - Maximum range bot will engage at WeaponTemplate.minRange - Self explanatory? WeaponTemplate.precision - This was an add-on to vietnam, I believe it has to do with the stingers. WeaponTemplate.setSoundSphereRadius - Sets a radius that if the player or another bot fires within, the bot will hear them WeaponTemplate.SetStrength - This has settings for all types of units on the maps. From infantry to ships. Max input is 20, so for instance if you wanted bots to fire more rockets at all targets, set all the unit types to value 20 to let the bots know that the rockets are useful against all targets. Where as say, you want bots to only use machine guns against infantry, well set all else to 0 and Infantry to 20. WeaponTemplate.useAimerOnly - For Artillery Spotters WeaponTemplate.WeaponActivate - the Input you hit to activate the weapon WeaponTemplate.WeaponFire - Fire Input Objects.con - Talks about technical stuff, how the bot should use it, etc. Deals with strategic strengths. You can use the objects.con settings to set higher strategic strengths for the bots so that, say, a Tank has a higher strategic strength than an infantryman, or a helo more strength than a car. You can also use it to modify static Objects so that the bots use them as cover more often, or the type of unit it is, say its a soldier, well you set it to ITBiological and then the bots will know that hand weapons can kill him, or if you set it to others like Tank Armor, the bots will only use RPG's on it. This file is good for kits, cause you can make bots use only specific kits, like say the majority grabs a rifleman kit, and a few others grab RPG's. |
