MY Question: Is it possible to remove the soldier icon from thi minimap with SSM?

USSoldier:
ObjectTemplate.setMinimapIcon "flag_ger.tga"
Thats the flag.. Strange. Also for ctf its the wrong flag.
Tank:
ObjectTemplate.setMinimapIcon "Minimap/minimap_icon_tank_16x16.tga"
That is right.

So where is the assignment from the minimap-soldier-icon to the Uss/Germansoldier?

I wonder if it's possible to remove this template (wich i can't find) to hide the soldier icon on the map.

Generally, any visual / audio changes won't be seen (err or heard) in a server side mod.

For a custom map, or client side, you could just do:
ObjectTemplate.setMinimapIcon ""

You can remove vehicle on this way. But I think the soldiers are "hard coded".
But let me try

I believe the "all alpha" texture is actually in the menu.rfa

Yes, somewhere there. But you can't allocate it to the soldier.
With the vehicles it works fine.

I haven't tried it yet. It's just what I have read.
I will do it soon.

You also can change the size of the icon by simply adding

ObjectTemplate.setMinimapIconSize 0

That would remove the icon too. You also can just alter it to be very small...or make it bigger...your call
