Thanks Freddy, I went through the meshes and matched them to the geometries files for the .rs files in the object and then back the other way to the .dds texture files and did not note any discrepancies.

Ill check now the geometries contained within the objects.rfa file for the jetpack to make sure its referring to the correct file names.

Any other ideas anyone?

I checked the meshes and they all appear to be in the map and the links are working.

I have adjusted the wheel heights and have had no luck. What would cause the mesh to bounce around all over the place?

Yeah i do. I even changed it to the mig17 wheel.

Today I ran the model of the jetpack through 3dsMax and made the material 44 for all of it so it is now compatible with BFV materials.

I made the rotor on top of the player visible so that I could tell the rotor wasnt spinning by itself. However, the PCO continues to spin out of control and bounce around. Im going to play with the controls a bit to see if that helps. I cant think why it would not sit still at the point of spawning...

ObjectTemplate.spinWhenNoEngineInAir 0.1

That's why. Spawn it directly on the ground so it can't spin. Or set it to zero
