Problem... So it works... cars loose health... gain health at checkpoints... = win but I have that weird glitch.. which I have only ever seen in DC servers... where you sometimes see a plane suspended in mid-air.. jets still blasting away but nobody in the jet.. you aware of this one..? given that I have never seen it in a normal server I can only presume it has something to do with death bubbles..? basically when the vehicle energy gets to zero.. 'sometimes' the vehicle stays there... after it has exploded with flames (damage effect..) still flying out of the vehicle as if its inertia is still present.. video example - if you know what Im talking about then any thoughts welcome.. :/ |

This is known as the "dead hulk" problem. I can not remember if we found a solution, but it was discussed a lot back in 2004-2005. I think a solution exists. Try searching with that term, "dead hulk". |

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.. I see it has been discussed a lot.. although not really solved as yet. unless anyone can tell me a solution. So I'm right in thinking that so long as your vehicle hits something at the time of death.. then it will die 'as usual'..? Its just if it is in the air or sitting on heightmap that it remains? what causes it to die properly? |
