Hey guys! I have a question that is a bit more than ss. What I really would like to know is if bf1942 (not bfV) supports bump/normal maps for textures. I know UT3 does but it's not as fun to mod as bf. And does bf2 support them? I've checked and there seems like there's no type of bump map support. Maybe I could make a plugin? Anyways, if anyone could verify this for me that would be great. ![]() |

AFAIK BF42 has no support for real bump/normal/specular/whatsoever maps. |

BF1942's Shader code does support it, but the lack of some crucial ray tracers in the game stops the Shader files from using them. |

Yeah, we can't actually "mod" the game itself with plug-ins. Dice provided no way for us to extend the code. That's why we can't make a new gameplay mode or modify big things. |
