I'm making a DCF patch, where when you join any server or play in SP, it will change some things for accuracy. The first is the lexicon, it's now very accurate and specific. Second is sounds, I'm still working on this. I already have some skins that make it more accurate and possibly some better versions of models, the DCFX Humvee is a possibility, also have added woodland camo abrams and green A-10. I've never seen a gray A-10, and in DesertStorm (which is what DC is based on-not the current Iraq war) they didn't have many desert painted Abrams. My next thing, though, is weapon animations. This is what I need someone to do, or teach me (I doubt I can learn it, but I'm willing to explore). At best, I want M16 and AK animations similar to BFV's, if someone could make them. Also a new AK model if possible. There's alot I feel can be improved in DCF and I'm willing to do it, but I need help. |

How about I send you the AK-47 and M-16 models and animations? (from BFV that is) |

If you have a little experience in 3d modeling or animations, weapon animations or animations in general are actually pretty simple. Especially as weapon animations are fairly easy, and are easily done. The most basic animation tutorials in the web suffice for that. Though of course it is time-consuming to time the animations, the sounds, etc. . |

Well see I don't think they would work, since the bone and skeleton is different in BFV, plus the models are too so yeah. I've heard that people have had alot of problems importing BFV models because they're slightly different, I can't help but think that animation files (.ske and .baf) would be the same between the two games. And Senshi, I can barely create a box in 3DsMax, so animations are out of the question. I imported the M16 reload animations into max last night and it was just a bunch of boxes that had no meaning to me. |

Well, then why don't you take a look at the fabulous thing people tend to call "tutorials"? 3dsmax even delivers with 2(!) CDs only with tutorials and examples. And actually, I found them surprisingly helpful to learn quite some basics (e.g. animations). It really isn't rocket science... |

I don't have CD's for it, if you know what I mean... ![]() Also every time I try to follow a tutorial, they almost always go over my head within about a minute. Also, tankerbot converted the BF2 DPV and Humvee, and I'd like to use them if he will allow me but I'm not sure if they have the same number of parts as the DCF Versions, so that I can rename them to take the place of the DCF versions. I've found that renaming new files to existing ones works, at least on handweapons, but editing the geometries.con of object.con of them causes an instant crash when joining a server. (This is made to work on any server you join running DCF). |

I can use the 3ds max BF tools to import the weapon and the animations from BFV then export them to the BF1942 format if that will help you. |
