Is there a way to increase the SS Map fog setting? I have tried to increase it in init.con, but when I load into the test server it is the same as the original settings.

I have reduced ViewDistance, and fogend to 10 each, but no changes are noticeable after loading into the map.

Game.setViewDistance 100
renderer.fogstart 0
renderer.fogend 100

Or am I looking in the wrong file? 8-)

This isn't server side. This only works if you edit your game's files. Which is a hack pretty much.

Me and a buddy were playing on a Berlin map and the fog seemed thicker than usual. I am currently modding our Berlin map to make the fog thicker so targets are not viewable so far away, trying to make it a close proximity battle. I was hoping there was a SS setting, so I looked in the mapfile init.con and thought I found it under those settings. There is a vertex fog enable setting, but that would force lightmaps, if I am correct. So no map has a fog setting that is adjustable server side?

This is just like changing textures and whatnot, it won't be visible SS. It would require a patch in any of the clients games.

Ahhh! Okay. I found that to be so with adding sandbags; the wall was there, but no textures, make sense now.

Thank you for taking the time to answer. 8-)
