Hey all...not SSM...hopefully someone here has encountered this before though. I started to recreate a map of mine. I did all of the terrain and objects in battlecraft, then just last night used editor42 to start texturing. I replaced the default battlecraft "detail.dds" file with one from wake island (shaddup...it looks good for sand!). If you don't know, detail.dds is what gets overlaid on the texture you have painted. It helps give it a more 'real' look, so to speak. Anyways, this worked fine in editor42. It displayed my detail.dds no problem. I pack the level and go to play it (did NOT open with BC), and its the lame default BC detail file!! Has anyone ran into this before?? |

Pehaps the terrain.con file still refers to a BC related file not in your map rfa? Can't tell much as I don't use BC at all for my map stuff. Only time I ever use BC is to generate objectlightmaps. I create my maps from scratch using a template from existing maps and doing it all in ED42. |

^ This fixed it!!! If anyone runs into this, its a quick and easy solution. Just rename your detail.dds and the name in init/terrain.con. |
