ive been trying to change my M249 (from DCF) to become the m2 as there is no m2 you can use anywere. would i just change around the Object files or would i need to change around the Game files too?

I assume that by "m2" you mean the M2 .50 Caliber/Browning? Then it is spawned as a vehicle, not a handweapon. So OST.con, change one of the spawners where you want to Stationary_Browning.

well i was wondering if i took the objects textures ect and changed them with m249 would i be able to use a m2 anywere i am at without mounting it? or would i just change the m249 to have the same stats as m2 (and yes its m2 50cal the one mounted on tanks ect)

Um...well serverside you could make it have the same projectile and rate of fire, etc. But it would still look/sound like an M249. And no, I doubt you can make a stationary weapon mobile (I don't think they function without being addTemplated to something, such as a vehicle or the stationary pole thingy they're on)

That would be the Tripod they're on but it doesnt have to be a ssm it could be csm as thats wat i do most ( i just do co op with friend)

You could replace the M249 base with the M2 Base geometry and delete all other parts. It would then look like a M2, and you could just modify it to fire like one.

just go to the weapons geometry.con and change the file name from whatever the M249 is to the Brownings
