I know that this has been asked before in posts like "Laser Designator", and one of the codes worked. But I don't want a missle /projectile coming out of my binoculars to kill someone. I was wondering if there is anyway to make the binoculars call in an artillery strike and then, for example, jet missles rain down from above. Is this possible to do in BFV?? |

If you can spawn projectiles then yes. It might even be possible to do it without spawning them. If you can make the binoculars fire projectiles such as in my code, but make the projectile position a certain distance out and up, with the projectiles shooting down. I don't know if that would work either. I'm sure this is possible somehow and those are two ideas but I'm not experienced enough in this area to know for sure. |

Yea, its totally possible actually now that I think of it. Think of desert combat, that Cluster bombs, from the aircraft a dummy fires that after a certain period of time fires projectiles in a number of directions and those projectiles in turn explode. Now if you were able to create an invisible projectile (this would not be serverside) and fire it towards the target as fast as it can go, you could then on its death, spawn a group of 5 to 6 projectiles above it, that fall like B-17 bombs straight down, thus creating an artillery strike that strikes where you fire. Of course ill try and come up with a code in the next few hours, but im telling you now, this would not be serverside in any way. |

Yea, I can see how this wouldn't be server side, If a SSM solution is needed the defgun-binocs I mentioned are wonderful. |
