Using the same theory as the Tankerbot video load screen thread... and calling files from outside of the rfa... it got me thinking.. You can call files from anywhere on the C:drive but could you could you change the drive you access files from? I'm not so good at figuring out that stuff.. then you could have the rfa call files across a vpn..? that would actually be awesome... real time full content serverside modding? run server, give members vpn access to the mod folder... and everyone gets the content.. heightmaps, objects, textures... etc. might take a while to load as your client downloaded the new textures, meshes etc... but great way to 'serverside' mod a client with actual heavy content and custom items..? |

wow. that makes sense. we should definately try it. think you could call from like a website that is hosting the files or something? this is quite interesting.... |
