I have made a mod which worked just nicely when i tested the game on my PC using createInternet game. I had to create the custom game and select my Mod and activate it to use it that way.

I did not expect that each client user would have to activate the mod before it would allow them to play on the game server. So it does not work unless the client goes through the activation process.

Is there something that i can change in the mod or map so that activation is not required? Ill check the pathway but any suggestions would be welcomed.

All regular client mods should activate instantly upon joining the server, assuming the server is running the same mod. DesertCombat, Pirates, Forgotton Hope, etc, all the big ones have always worked this way. Even a small mod I created for one map would automatically activate.

I'm not sure what is causing yours to not work. Are you sure the maps are being tied properly to the mod?

When you give people the mod, give them a custom shortcut to launch your mod...

forgive me if you know what I mean... but basically create a shortcut to bf1942.exe but edit the target path after the main executable so it reads..

(gamepath)/bf1942.exe +game "virtual_masturbation_mod" (or whatever its called...)

I'm guessing you already know this so if thats not what you are after I think you have modded a bit too deep and something thinks its still pure 1942 when it launches your mod maps as y2 said..

Agreed Y2K. I took a custom map i made for regular BFV and put it into my mod and added some of the features from the mod to the map such as rain, new environmental sounds, changes to weapons and vehicles.

If I try to run the game on my pc as the server, that particular map has a BFV icon alongside it and not a blank one as my other maps in the mod do have. Not sure if there is something in particular in the map that would change that attribute?

For example i looked in menu/init in the map and the paths appear right...
