As you probably have already read in previous threads about self flying planes, there are several techniques that can work depending on just what EXACTLY you want them to do.

Which map do you want the BF109 to fly by itself in ?

I already have codes to make them fly in Midway.

^ what losnar said. I think was volt was getting at was on maps with water and gave the planes floaters :razz:

Actually, it doesn't matter if there's water or not, at least in my experience, the floaters keep it from hitting ground also. They cannot pass thru the ground so with a 0 speedmod the plane doesnt blow up, it just sits there. With engine running when it spawns, it literally takes off from midair.

Um, there is water in every map whether or not it shows any water, it is just below the surface, thus the floater method will work on every map, regardless for whether or not any water shows.

ahhh, in my years of making maps ('do you want water' y/n) i assumed it was simply not there. after looking at aberdeen i see the water level is at 0. :oops: I guess you would take (general elevation) and + whatever height you'd want the planes to fly = depth of the floaters eh?

Yessir, that is what you would do, find water height, find height you want planes at, subtract water height from height you want planes at and put floaters at that number (but negative so the floaters are below the plane) and the planes always stay that that height or above.
