Battlefield Modding Tutorials BFMODS

I don't know if an SSM forum is the right place to post this, but I need help and I'm sure someone here can. I want to make a mod, using some weapons and vehicles from other mods, but modifying them, and making new ones. I also need skins, and noone I know has the means/skills to do it any of those things. We have a mapper, we need most everything else. I want to make a mod, inspired by situation in georgia, of a Russian conquest of the world. They attack Europe, then after running over the EU, land on the beaches of the northeastern US. They use conventional bombs and small nukes to wipe out the main government and military. The remaining government and most of the military fall back to the West Coast to rebuild civilization. Some military units, mostly Nat'l Guard, and armed civilians attempt to repel assaults on their decimated cities. Soo, that's my idea. I have Gmax, but have no idea how to use it, and we need a skinner and someone with mod making experience to guide us. If you have xfire it would be best, since my team (as of now me and my mapper, lol) are using it. Mine is desertfox2020.

im good with scripting and using gmax.
i can make a map from scratch.
ive made a map for myself and new different vehicles.
with the skins i dont no how to make them from scratch but i can make some cool looking skins with the originals.(i copy them)
if u make a new vehicle ur gona have to make the ai for it and put wat u want on it.
like pco's ect..... ect....

my gmax i have to get it to work agen.
if u dont have the bf plugin for gmax.
try downloading it from some place or if u have mdt 2.50/2.75 or something like dat.
go into it and click install gmax tools. and it will install a plugin for gmax.

I installed the gmax plugin, I do have the MDT 2.75, I do all my SSM with it. I played around in gmax and couldnt do much more than make shapes :\ If I had photoshop, I could probably figure the skinning out but I can't afford it. I tried uploading a gun's .sm file from another mod but I couldn't figure it out. Also, we don't plan on doing coop, too difficult.
