im having trouble loading a map that i modded. Something isnt server side and its bugging me. Im testing things little by little, and the OST.con and OS.con arent the problem. So its probably the materialmap.raw or staticobjects file. Is it possible that something could be wrong with the staticobjects file? Like what i mean, is there any objects that r probably not serverside? Its really confusing...i've been at it for days. |

How are you so sure OST and OS.con aren't the problem? I don't think anything in static objects should cause a crash. Perhaps the material map, or something in OST.con. I don't know without seeing what you've done. |

Because we put only the staticobjects con in just the patch and it crashed. Im modding the map kharkov, but i also noticed at the bottom of the staticobjects, it says run cullRadius.con. I dont even kno what it what that means. |

Look at kharkov. cullRadius.con is right there. What that file is doing is adjusting some default settings, from what I can see. They needed to patch them for that map, so they created cullRadius.con. CullRadius has to do with visibility of objects; for instance at what range they can be seen. Just remove that line, since its already being ran by the server/client. I just want to make sure, but you know static objects won't be seen by the client, right? Also, if you're just adding some statics, just put them at the end of ObjectSpawns.con, there's no need for the whole staticobjects.con file (adding about 70kb). |
