On battlecraft there is a bunch of buttons to edit the terrain to make it be flat, tall, short, and smooth. I was wondering what the file was called, its not the materialmapper.raw, I cant figure out what the file is called. I was wondering if that file was serverside. I would appreciate it if someone would help me with this problem. |

heightmap, and no changing that is not server side. Material map like you said, yes (like removing out of bounds), but not heightmap. Editing that = super duper crash! |

It won't crash. People joining just won't see the terrain any different. They will float mid air on spots that you've made higher, and jump around if you've made a spot lower than the normal map. |

Really? I never thought to try it; I just knew it didn't work server side.. |

True, on nonpure servers I can change my client to have a hill where the server doesn't. I can "climb" this hill and "see" forward but the game is glitching me back to the ground every .5 seconds, so I can barely see anything. But say on Omaha Beach if I made a ramp that started at the beach and ended at the bunkers, and then started running up it, when I got to the top I (might) be able to see over the hill and see what is happening up there. But, again, the game glitches and makes it difficult. |
