| Post subject: | Rotating Soldier's camera? |
I want to rotate the camera at a 90 degree angle for the soldier's 3rd person view so it will show his right side moving foward, similar to a 2D/sidescroller arcade game. But I can't seem to get the camera to rotate whatsoever. I ran about the \Objects\Soldiers\Common section where I could find CommonSoldierData.inc and objects.con I'm able to move the camera up, down, left or right with the ObjectTemplate.setPoseCameraPos but I cant find a code that will rotate this. I tried placing ObjectTemplate.setRotation 90/0/0 and other multiple number combination's I have tried for the heck of it all over CommonSoldierData.inc and objects.con and no matter what the camera wont rotate. Is it possible? What can I do? Is there an alternative solution? |

I looked into that, it indeed changed the 3rd person camera position, but I dunno how to rotate it, I was tinkering around and I guess my attempts were bogus |

This is one of the things you cant do in BF1942. While you can make a soldier have 3rd person views, I don't believe you can rotate it. In Bf2 you can rotate the chase cameras on the vehicles and things but I dont believe 1942 has this. |

well I can do it with vehicles, but I use a 1st person camera any possible way to do this for the soldier, but in 1st person? |
