Hey, I manage a small BF1942 server and I am looking to toss some custom maps into the mix. I already have the maps on the server, in the mods/levels bla bla bla.....well I am using BFServer Manager BlackBagOps....Well the maps don't show up in the map list. I restarted the server, nothing. Is there a list that has to be updated somewhere? Tips, suggestions? Thanks

In the Remote Manager... bring up the Map List... then right click on one of the maps. From there it'll bring up a way for you to filter or un-filter maps that appear on your list. Hopefully all you have to do is enable "Conquest" or something to that effect for them to show up. Also be sure that your custom map .rfa files contain only lower case letters. There's a known issue with Linux servers that won't allow maps to play unless they're all lower case. For example if you were going to play: "Berlin.rfa" it wouldn't work. You'd need to make the letter "B" a lower-case "b". Good luck, let us know if this helps or if the problem persists... |

Thanks for the reply. I check the casing of the map, still nothing. Even showed all maps, still not there in the list. Very strange. |

Think you need a plugin for custom maps in BBO. Site is down, so good luck. Anybody here have it downloaded? Think w2k will host it if he gets it. |

No no no...there is no plugin required for BBO for custom maps. All you need to do is put the maps in your servers 1942\levels folder...don't put it in xpack1 or xpack2, just bf1942. I'm not at home so I can't look. I've made a couple custom maps, and both show in BFRM just by putting them in the folder. I play in a league that relies on custom maps too, and have never had this problem. I think we need more info. Where EXACTLY is the map going? Paste the file path here. Also, content check should be OFF for custom maps (I think this requires a server stop/start to take effect). |

Hey, again thanks for taking the time for this. My path on the server is: C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942 Server\Mods\BF1942\Archives\Bf1942\Levels It is a custom Co-Op map, for Caen. So we can finally have bots  The rfa is in there and still nothing. I can play this level, I have on my PC and it works....I can 'create a game' on my PC and it works as well. |

Eh, just a shot in the dark... but since it's a co-op map have you tried filtering the map list by "co-op"
