OMG, (dcfinal question)

This is such a basic question...but I have to ask it.

Thought pattern:
SSM'ing alters some things that were set from the Objects.rfa file using patch files.
Some things can be changed (not altered) in the actual server Objects.rfa file. (global effect)

AI/bots get their basic instructions from the server's objects.rfa file. (map files contain ai stuff also, but I don't care about that info)
Do the same rules apply to SSM'ing AI/bots settings?
Can I just change settings in the objects.rfa file for a global effect?
