hey, ummh yea i just tryed texturing. Now i was trying to make my own texture patchfile as wen you are modding, but it seems like that cant be done, i tryed to pack as texture_002.rfa but it wouldnt show up. So is there any metode to make your own patchfile? i need my own patch for giving to my friends. |

I'm away from my game PC, but I would guess you have to edit the standardmesh (rs files?), where it tells the file where to get the texture from...thats my guess. |

there was already one patchfile from before called 001 and if i goto do that i cant make a patchfile with installer for my friends thats just to uninstall and its back to normal? |

Dont edit the original files whatever you do. This is what i do: go to your Battlefield 1942 mod folder, and create a new folder called "Textures" or "My Mod" or whatever. Inside that folder make another one called "Archives" Pack your textures into that archive folder and name the file texture.rfa Now go back to your Mod folder, and click on "Bf1942" find the "Init.con" and open it up with notepad, and add the line: game.addModPath Mods/(Name Of your Mod Folder) at the top of the file just above game.addModPath Mods/BF1942 and Viola, you now have a mod on your BF1942 without editing original files, just remember when you go to play the original version again to change the Init.con back to the way it originally was |

just make sure all of them have the same folder you made, and the same init.con in the bf1942 mod folder, and have fun. its not serverside, its client, so people will need to have the files. |

yea but i was thinking that it had installer as i have for the race i got in BoB, and they will just have to uninstall and it all goes back to normal, and that metode dont work for that i guess seen you have to change files inside em, then the uninstaller will uninstall the files for bf1942, means it will get lost and they cant play. |
