Hello, i was just wondering how i can make a seperate mod, like desertcombat is, exept my content, but make it just go with normal BF1942 maps, so i don't have to make maps for it, is it possible? like just delete the "levels" folder out of it? or is there a way i have to translate the maps?
im not making new vehicles or anything, just changing explosions ect....like bigger explosions, that suck u in by using -6000 on the forceonexplosion thingy, i can do it by replacing normal bf1942 objects.rfa, but i don't want to because i can't play online, and i don't want to make them back and forth, so anyone have ideas? Thanks in advance....and if it has credits, all those who help shall be in them(including the guy who made the -5000 force on explosion thingy) thanks, hope to get some answers...i will check soon...now im gonna mod some more!!!!

Umm yeah...all you would need is objects.rfa (your own custom one) in your mod folder (your own name)...i'm not sure off the top of my head what files are needed, but you could take a look at a mod to get an idea..you had problems with the BF tools mod maker though, didn't you?

yea, i actually used that to make the mod, i put my own objects.rfa file in there, but when i start a map in the mod, its normal BF, i even used battlecraft to create a map for it(yea, i selected the mod, not made it in normal bf) but it just doesn't work, its like i never even activate it(which i did :) ) so, im not shore whats wrong with it....i know the RFA was changed cause i checked, i just copied the RFA from bf1942 to my mod's ARCHIVES folder(if this helps) and then extracted edited and packed......i think it hates me...thanks for your help....but u know why it still doesn't work?

mapid setting in menu.con
near last line is where you state the mod its for.
You also have to put the right vehicles in OST
for whatever the mod is.
If its for online I hear having proper precache.con also helps smooth the game.
