Hi boys! I have a big problem with bc42.I made a map,but it is not finish yet.I put 3 objects to the map (pak40,sturmges..,at25 from rtr) than pack them.i did everything correct, and i put the name to the bf1942.list file of bc42 : pak40=StandardMesh(pak40_M1) at25=StandardMesh(AT25_Bottom_m1) and the sturm,so i could watch them inside of the b42 editor.i made some changes,i pressed save, than exit,BUT! my computer started lagging so i check: ctrl+alt+del= and i saw bc42 still running with huge memory,so close it.than checked the file i made,i could not open it,and bf1942 doesnt like it also. could you help me pls, what is the problem? |

Crap. Can you view any of the files in winRFA? Static objects, object spawns, etc? I've had a similar problem with BattleCraft. I will be working with it, then close it to do something else. Then I try a simple task like opening another program...or right clicking something for properties...and it lags/doesn't respond. Even opening BC again, or 1942, it starts to launch but nothing happens. The solution for that...maybe its just me..but I looked at at running processes with task manager (processes, NOT programs running), sort by mem usage, and sure enough bc.exe shows up. End the process and you will regain your system performance. If you try to start BC with this phantom BC.exe running; close the one sucking up the most memory. The other will load properly. Anyways, sorry for being so damn long winded. Again, try to open your map with winRFA and make sure your .con files aren't blank. Trust me...thats a sickening feeling. Backup your custom maps each and every day!!! |

You two should open up your regedit and find the Unload Dlls command in the system registry and set it to 1. Its useful because when you close a program it closes all Dlls making sure the program doesnt continue to run ya can find a tutorial here as to how to do it. http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.cfm?articleID=1590 |

it has some problem with loading the init script,so when i change something,it doesnt save well, thats why the bc42 doesnt close itself:( |
