wtf? what does objecttemplate.mesh mean? it's remmed out in the code. i'm assuming it's just another failure by EA?

Probably. Most likely someone typed "mesh" instead of "geometry" and another coder saw it, but since EA's keyboards don't have backspace/delete keys, they had to rem it out. Alot of things they should've removed are only rem'd, doesn't make sense.

Yeah, BF42 Vanilla probably would have taken 50MB less of HDD space if they deleted all the unnecessary code&rems before release :lol:

We blame EA cause they ok'd it, they should've said WTF go fix this before we sell it :lol:

Even more odd is that there is a remmed out line for this on the MultPlayerFreecamera...WTF? So the mutliplayerfreecamera was going to have the mesh of the Mustang.....Would like to know what EA was smoking when they even added that.... :P

They also have a habit of braking things....in v1.0 of the game, the "isSticky" command worked fine on projectiles, but now with the latest version, the command is basically useless as it's too unstable. It causes crashes when vehicles die with the projectile still attached....wondering what they did to brake it...

I assume they had the mesh in at some point for testing purposes, whatever there may be to test.... Most of the remmed stuff once was in use or clearly was used during dev process.
