Auf Englisch bitte? English please? From what i understand the coding stays the same whether you use winrfa, or col's, or whatever else you want. So what exactly do you need to know how to do? |

WinRFA un-/packing: example El_Alamein.rfa UNPACKING A LEVEL ------------------- open WinRFA Select FILE Select OPEN Browse to ur levels folder and doubleclick ur map WinRFA will display the directory structure Select EXTRACT Select ALL point to a location on ur harddrive , i usually prefer desktop u will now find a folder named bf1942 in ur location, it holds the structure for the unpacked level in this case bf1942/levels/el_alamein PACKING -------- open WinRFA Select Pack Select Directory, pop-up window opens on the top line use the Browse symbol to point to the source directory of ur unpacked file, for maps this will always be "bf1942" Example: bf1942/levels/El_Alamein <<< bf1942 is the source directory for packing. then the lower line will show the base path (bf1942) Select pack, pop-up window opens Select the correct file to pack into or type in ur new levels name Note: bf1942/levels/El_Alamein must be packed to El_Alamein.rfa , if these 2 names don't match u will get a crash when trying to start the game ! |

dunno if its the "right" or "best" way, but i have a folder on my desktop called MODS, which contains subfolders for BF42 thru DCFX, i simply copy the map\level or file i want to mod, (ie. gazala.rfa), paste it in the proper folder, (ie. C:\Documents and Settings\Compaq_Owner\Desktop\MODS\BF42), rename it, (ie. Agazala.rfa) then open IT with winrfa, make my changes, click "save changes". copy that, place it into wherever im going to test or use it, delete the map im replacing, rename the new mod to the proper name, which all i have to do is just delete a letter, and voila! easier for me, all is in one place broken into their respective Game\Mod folder. dont mix them up with the original\virgin files. i do it this way so i dont lose track, gettin old, memory lol... edit: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=3330 |
