I'm wondering if its possible to "steal" the spawnpoints from a ship, and tie these spawners to a control point. For example, you wouldn't want a team to have access to a airfield pilot spawn point if they didn't control the airfield itself. Looking at the tutorial again, it looks like this is possible...its just not written very clearly. If I wanted a spawnpoint to be tied to a control point, would I not add it under the appropriate "spawn point group" in spawnPointManagerSettings.con ..? I'm not really sure now. I was reading the tut and I got more confused by it then when I started. It doesn't help that in my head I'm trying to see & understand the whole problem instead of one step at a time...I guess I'm not really sure where to start with this one. Any takers? ![]() |

u could re-assign a spawngroup ss, but the spawnpoint will not be visible, clients will see the spawn as is on their machine. So instead of spawning at the flag they may end up somewhere on the carrier. |

Hmm. To keep this simple, I have an idea...I'll explain what I'd like to do, and you guys can shoot it down or give it the thumbs up..lol Map: Berlin. In TDM I would like to add two spawnpoints. ![]() The thing is, I would want them connected to a flag, so if the enemy takes it, you still don't get to spawn there, lol. For example: I would like to add a spawn to the top right and bottom right german bases...but if the russians take them, to be then given to the russians. Make sense..? ![]() Would this be possible?? Please say yes. haha |

only way i can think of is spawn a vehicle that carries spawns and spawn it vith OSID, rip the spawner and put it where u want it at the flag and place the vehicle in a location where it will be destroyed slowly. hence, when the flag is taken the counterpart of the spawn-carrying-vehicle spawns, giving the other team an extra spawnpoint. this is in theory,and the only way i could think of doing this serverside. I managed to tinker with spawnpoints serverside, but the client didnt see them and therefor couldnt use them. |
