hmmm... well based on some other posts i've read, i was under the impression that like engine1 is first, then after a certain speed, engine 2 kicks in etc? if so, maybe you could simulate an overheating engine by makeing engine3 be all 0's for speed/acceleration... |

I'm experimenting with helo engines at the moment with little success. The locations are for handling characteristics, and the dummy engines are just for animation and appearance and and have no physical effect that I can see. I put them all on a humvee and there was no difference in handling except you don't see any rotors without the dummy engines. The problem I am having is controlling the thing. Making it have aircraft controls instead of land vehicle controls. I'm looking through the Kubel_Kopter_Helis code, but can't see how they did it . I'm pretty new at this, so I'm probably missing something. My ultimate goal is to attach helicopter engines and controls to a Fletcher and fly it across the El Alamein desert and land it in the enemy base. (I just want to see the reactions I get) |

yeah, i was making one of those flying dpvs and couldnt figure out how to change the controlset to air instead of land, eventually gave up and tied roll and yaw together... only have the thing on 2 maps b/c it was specifically requested of me, otherwise i wouldnt have touched it atall... though making the abrams into a heli sounds fun for like one map :-p |
